  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ cup nondairy milk +more depending on your protein powder
  • ¼ cup coconut sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil melted
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon cardamom
  • ¼ teaspoon ginger
  • teaspoon star anise optional!

For the cinnamon sugar coating:

  • ¼ cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon coconut oil melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a donut pan. Mix all of the donut ingredients until well combined. Add more milk if your dough is too dry and crumbly. Different protein powders have different absorbency levels!
  • Spread the batter into 6 donuts molds and bake for 15-17 min. Let cool.
  • Melt the coconut oil and spread onto each donut before rolling into the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat it. Enjoy!
