Paleo & Vegan Banana Bread Brownies

These banana bread brownies are paleo, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and absolutely delicious!

Ingredients
  

For the brownie layer:
  • ¼ cup coconut oil melted
  • ½ cup almond butter smooth, natural
  • 2 flax eggs 2 tablespoon ground flaxseed mixed with 6 tablespoon water
  • ½ cup coconut sugar can sub brown sugar
  • splash of vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • ½ cup cacao powder unsweetened
  • ¼ cup almond flour
For the banana bread layer:
  • 1 ripe banana mashed
  • 2 tablespoon almond butter smooth, natural
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoon almond flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 tablespoon non-dairy mini chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350℉ and line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix together all of your brownie ingredients until you have a smooth batter.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the banana bread layer ingredients.
  4. Spread your brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spread the banana bread layer evenly on top.
  5. Bake for about 15-17 minutes. Let cool before slicing and enjoying!
