Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and set aside. In a food processor, add the softened dates and almond butter and blend. Add water as needed until you have a gooey mixture.
Add in the cacao and blend until smooth. This mixture will be sticky!
Press the sticky mixture into the prepared loaf pan and place in the freezer to set for about an hour.
In a bowl, melt together the chocolate chips and coconut cream until smooth. Spread this over top of the frozen date base and let set in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Slice and enjoy! I store these in the freezer.
