These double chocolate protein donuts are the perfect healthy treat! They're high in protein and seriously taste just like a decadent chocolate donut. The fudge frosting is simply my favorite. They're gluten-free, dairy-free, delicious, and can be made refined sugar-free by subbing the sprinkles or omitting them!

Ingredients
Here are the ingredients you'll need:
- almond flour
- protein powder of choice
- cacao powder
- baking powder
- nondairy milk
- coconut sugar
- egg
- coconut oil
- nondairy chocolate chips + vegan butter for the frosting

Gluten-free & Dairy-free Chocolate Protein Donuts
These chocolate protein donuts are gluten-free, dairy-free, simple to make, and absolutely delicious!
Ingredients
- ⅓ cup almond flour
- ¼ cup cacao powder unsweetened
- ½ cup vegan protein powder You can use either vanilla or chocolate!
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ cup nondairy milk
- ¼ cup coconut sugar can sub regular sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil melted
For the Fudge Frosting:
- ¼ cup nondairy chocolate chips
- ½ tablespoon vegan butter
- optional sprinkles!
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a donut pan.
- In a bowl, mix together all ingredients until well combined. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared donut pan and bake for 15-17 minutes.
- Let cool while you melt together the frosting ingredients. Dip each donut in the frosting, top with optional sprinkles, and enjoy!
