    These sourdough blueberry donuts are the perfect way to use up your sourdough discard! I love a blueberry donut, and these are so so tasty. These baked donuts are gluten-free, dairy-free, simple to make, and absolutely delicious!

    Ingredients

    Here are the ingredients you'll need:

    • gluten-free flour
    • egg
    • baking powder/baking soda
    • blueberries
    • brown sugar or coconut sugar
    • non-dairy milk
    • gluten-free sourdough discard
    • avocado oil

    Gluten-free & Dairy-free Sourdough Blueberry Donuts

    Ingredients Method

    Ingredients
      

    • ½ cup gluten-free flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 egg
    • ¼ cup brown sugar can sub coconut sugar
    • ½ cup gluten-free sourdough discard
    • 2 tablespoon avocado oil
    • ¼ cup non-dairy milk
    • splash of vanilla extract
    • ⅔ cup blueberries tossed in gluten-free flour to prevent them from sinking when baking
    Optional Icing:
    • ½ cup powdered sugar
    • water to thin

    Method
     

    1. Preheat oven to 350℉ and grease 8 donut molds.
    2. In a bowl, combine all wet ingredients until smooth. Mix in the dry ingredients until you have a smooth batter.
    3. Fold in the blueberries. Alternatively, you can add the blueberries while filling the donut molds with batter if you want them more evenly dispersed.
    4. Begin spooning the batter into the prepared donut molds. Bake for about 9-11 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the donuts cool completely before topping with the optional icing. Enjoy!

      Very good, love them. Could you give me the nutritional info for them, I can not seem to find it on the recipe

        Hi Michele! I'm so happy you tried and liked them! Unfortunately, I don't calculate nutritional info for my recipes but I'm sure you can plug the ingredients into an online calculator:)
