Samoa Apple Slices
These Samoa apple slices are paleo, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, refined sugar-free, high protein, easy to make, and absolutely delicious!
Ingredients
- 2 medium apples of choice
- ½ cup smooth, natural almond butter
- ⅓ cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- ¾ cup shredded coconut unsweetened
- 3 tablespoon vanilla protein powder
- ½ cup non-dairy chocolate chips
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Begin slicing your washed apples into about 6 round slices per apple (or however many you get with how thick you like the slices!). Using a knife or a small circle cutter, cut a small circle out of the center of each apple round.
- In a bowl, mix together the almond butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth. Mix in the shredded coconut, protein powder, and salt until well combined.
- Begin scooping the samoa mixture evenly onto each of the apple slices and place on the baking sheet. Place in the fridge to set while you melt the chocolate.
- In a bowl, melt the chocolate chips until smooth. Drizzle the chocolate over the apple slices and let harden before enjoying!
